Connect Polar to Movement Rebels

Polar watches and heart rate sensors collect some of the most detailed training load and recovery data available. Movement Rebels reads that data and puts it to work in your weekly plan.

What connects

The Polar integration pulls data from your Polar account, which syncs from your Polar watch or heart rate sensor via the Polar Flow app. Every session your Polar records appears in your Movement Rebels training log automatically.

What flows in depends on your device. Most Polar watches send:

  • Session data: sport type, duration, distance
  • Heart rate: average, max, and heart rate zone breakdown
  • Training load: Polar's own load score for each session
  • Recovery data: where available on your device

Polar H-series heart rate sensors send heart rate data when paired with a supported device or app.

Setting up the Polar integration

Open Movement Rebels and go to Profile, then Integrations. Find the Polar card and tap Connect.

You will be redirected to Polar's authorization page. Sign in with your Polar Flow account. Polar will ask for permission to share your training data with Movement Rebels. Approve it.

Once authorized, your recent Polar history imports. New sessions appear in your log within minutes of syncing from your watch to the Polar Flow app.

How the coach uses your Polar data

The coach reads each Polar session the same way it reads a Garmin or Wahoo session. After a run, it checks your heart rate zones, average pace, and duration against what was planned for the day. After a hard interval session, it notes the load and factors it into your next few days.

Polar's training load score is one of several signals the coach reads when building your weekly picture. A high-load week on Polar shifts the following week toward recovery work. A run with heart rate spiking above threshold on what should have been an easy day is a flag the coach picks up.

Polar H-series sensors without a Polar watch

If you train with a Polar H9 or H10 heart rate sensor paired to another device or app, the data path depends on where that data lands. If your sessions sync to Polar Flow, the integration reads them. If they sync somewhere else (Garmin, Wahoo, Apple Health), connect that integration instead.

Disconnecting Polar

Go to Profile, Integrations, open the Polar card and tap Disconnect. No new sessions will sync after that point. Your existing Polar history in Movement Rebels stays in your log.

You can reconnect anytime from the same screen.
