Can I train through DOMS?

Does DOMS mean my workout was effective?

How often should I deload?
Most structured programs schedule a deload every 4-8 weeks, depending on training age, intensity, and individual recovery capacity. There's no exact law here. Your Readiness Score trend over time is your best indicator that one is due.
What does a proper deload look like?
A typical deload cuts volume by 40-60% while keeping intensity moderate. You might do 2-3 shorter sessions instead of 4-5 full ones. Keep movements familiar, cut sets, reduce loading. The goal is to feel fresh by the end of the week, not exhausted.
Should I reduce intensity or volume during a deload?
Both work, but cutting volume is the more common approach. Keeping weights relatively heavy while doing fewer sets maintains the stimulus for strength while stripping out fatigue. A common approach: normal intensity, half the usual sets and reps.
Will I lose gains during a deload week?

Can I train hard every day if I love training?
